Spartan CQB Tool – Close Quarters Battle Companion
Engineered for speed, retention, and lethal efficiency, the Spartan CQB Tool is a purpose-built ring dagger designed for Close Quarters Battle (CQB) and transition work. Compact and slim, it stows easily behind front pouches or magazines on MOLLE/PALS platforms, or on the belt/IWB for rapid access. The included Kydex sheath is contoured to the ring form for lightning-fast draw and re-stow in high-stress environments.
Developed in collaboration with Greg Thompson, founder of H2H/Team ROC, Curtis Iovito, Mark Carey, and a former Special Forces unit at USAJFKSWCS, the CQB Tool is shaped by battlefield experience. This tool is designed as a “transition tool”—a slim, fast-deploying implement intended to break grips, gain control, and quickly return to the primary weapon system. Built from proven materials and treated for battlefield durability, it blends functional design with tactical practicality into a mission-ready package.

I'm not an expert using a CQB Tool, so this is what I see. The point is sharp, very sharp and has a small dagger edge to about 1/3 of the blade. I don't see any need to sharpen it at all, since it's appears more worthy of stabbing or a thrust at a pointed weapon. It's extremely light weight. I made a necklace from para chord 550 and I wear it around my neck on top of my chest. It is easy to deploy. I may buy another, since I'm carrying it everyday.

I owned the cheaper version from another company a few years back and although it was serviceable I gave it away. This is very well made and definitely a keeper. It’s my second Spartan to date.
Very nice; a great buy all the way around! Kimberly in their customer service did a great job to ensure all was as I wanted; a great personal touch, if you're sick of the big manufacturer's lack of service. They added an unexpected discount for retired mil/LE. The blade is a perfect edc anywhere, but especially in hot & humid coastal SC. Light as a feather & disappears carried IWB. Jake perfectly ground my blade sharp all the way back on one side & dull on the other, to comply with blade laws in most places. The sheath is a cut above, but you'll want to attach a clip of your choice for IWB carry. This is the knife you'll have on you in shorts & a t- shirt, when it's too hot for anything else. For the slight price difference, you'll never be sorry for buying this over the mass-produced factory knives of similiar design. Always a pleasure to support fellow Vets @ Spartan Blades, I highly recommend them!
This is my third or fourth Spartan Blade. I carried one overseas and have no idea why I waited so long to get this one. It's the perfect "get off me" blade.
I was disappointed that Benchmade changed their discounts for military and first responders. As a result, the SOCP was ridiculously expensive. Spartan's ACB tool is the perfect alternative for $100 less. I am delighted with the weight, feel, and appearance. It is a gift for my son in Texas DPS
