Spartan CQB Tool – Close Quarters Battle Companion
Engineered for speed, retention, and lethal efficiency, the Spartan CQB Tool is a purpose-built ring dagger designed for Close Quarters Battle (CQB) and transition work. Compact and slim, it stows easily behind front pouches or magazines on MOLLE/PALS platforms, or on the belt/IWB for rapid access. The included Kydex sheath is contoured to the ring form for lightning-fast draw and re-stow in high-stress environments.
Developed in collaboration with Greg Thompson, founder of H2H/Team ROC, Curtis Iovito, Mark Carey, and a former Special Forces unit at USAJFKSWCS, the CQB Tool is shaped by battlefield experience. This tool is designed as a “transition tool”—a slim, fast-deploying implement intended to break grips, gain control, and quickly return to the primary weapon system. Built from proven materials and treated for battlefield durability, it blends functional design with tactical practicality into a mission-ready package.

I bought this as a tool and it delivers! I opted for zip ties instead of the included paracord for my plate carrier and it lays flatter than anything. Super easy to deploy but will never accidentally slip out. I can grip it in any fashion. Perfect balance and weight. Truly well designed and executed.
Holy WoW, now this is a true savior, I’ve tried in several different mounting positions between my armor, packs & even waist band, & the snatch out is always comfortable, thumb hole is the perfect size even when wearing flight gloves....plain & simply if I have to reach to this tool, I’ll be the only one walking away!! Great blade, Sharp, feels good in my hand
I've never found a knife with the form factor that worked for everyday carry but the CQB tool and sheath are such a handy combination that now I never leave home without it! It's there with a very quick draw when I need it and it disappears after that with strong retention. The tool itself is of obvious quality; it arrived with an extremely sharp edge. It's heftier than it looks; this is quality metal, and you can instantly feel the difference between this and a $15 knife you might buy at a gas station or on Amazon. I only wish it came with a belt or MOLLE clip for the sheath, but that's a tiny quibble. Great purchase; I'll probably end up getting one more!
While I have not used this product for its “intended purpose” yet(and lets hope I never have to), it is outstandingly well made. I was looking at benchmade’s copy of this product purely for the price reduction but the amount of attention to detail put into this blade is impeccable. Very sharp, very light, extremely strong, and the cerakote finish is a nice touch. The ring diameter allows for a gloved hand to still function as well has the finger grooves along the tang. I am by no means an expert on this but the people here at Spartan Blades certainly are.

Love this tool. Hope to never have to use it, but glad I have it in my arsenal if I ever need it.
