    Ares - Fighter

A little dissapointed with quality control for this level of knife. It arrived with damage to metal as well as poor finish quality that is not up to the standard. Big fan of Spartan Blades. Not sure how this one made it out of the factory in this condition.

The high price plus the costs of imprting it to germany set my expectations pretty high. But just after opening the box i knew that it was worth every penny. I have never seen a more beautiful or nicely crafted blade before and am absolutely stunned. Will defenitly order from Spartan Blades again, the Enyo, Horkos and the Harsey Dagger all look interesting. Thanks for this great Knife and your phenomenal customer service.

    Ares- Top Quality

Glad I decided to go with the Ares for my first real blade. I have had the benefit of meeting with plenty of my buddies to see their blade choices, and while none of them owned a Spartan, I am glad I decided to go with Spartan. The quality and fit and finish is superb. It won’t be my last Spartan Blade and I will happily fork out the cash for the quality of their work.

    Beautifully made

First impression of this knife, kind of weird because of the angle of the blade but as I did a few drills with it, I start to understand why the angle. It's perfect and I can see there were some research went into it. I have no intention to use this in any form of fighting as I'm not in the military or anything like that and it is too big for EDC. From a collector point of view, it is beautifully made, and well balanced. I have the Enyo in S35VN which can hold a sharp edge very well, I would expect S45VN perform a little bit better. It is relatively easy to put a polished edge on using a 1000 grid diamond stone and a 16,000 ceramic stone. Don't get me wrong, the knife came razor sharp already. I just like to polish my knife edge to a mirror finish. The handle feels great in the hand but I thought it would look better with a set of wooden scales so I made a set with Brazilian Rosewood, it adds a little flare to the knife.
