Well made. Tool and sheath are solid and versatile.
Absolutely one of the best blades I now own. Perfect size for function and application. Wonderful craftsmanship and attention to detail. Will be buying more spartan blades!
Probably I’m biased. I have 7 fixed Spartan Blades knives.
The Enyo is a great EDC especially if you want concealed and don’t want to bother with a belt or heavier clothes. That said you don’t give away much with the Enyo. It feels great in the hand and is easily manipulated. Blade steel on all Spartan Blades is the best hands down. Easy to get scary sharp and stay that way.
Honestly I might just get rid of all my other high end brands. You can’t improve on perfection and that’s what Spartan brings to the table. Maybe someday they’ll do a tactical hatchet in S35VN and it’s game over
The Enyo knife is beautiful and sleek. Extremely sharp and great detail. The sheath however, had a small area that was not smoothed out internally. This caused the bead chain to break off after the second pull. It was remedied by grinding out the end of the sheath on the top side with an 1/8 inch burr. I re-ordered a second sheath and a second bead chain to test further.
I'm very happy.
See you soon for a new order.
Superb craftsmanship. The absolute best neck knife on the market today!
I both own the Difensa and the Enyo. Having purchased the Difensa first, my expectation of the Enyo was quite high. I was looking for a light back up blade. Normally I'm using the Spyderco Paramilitary 2 which is awesome, but in this case I wanted a fixed blade alternative instead of a folder. When you go to sandy or wet areas I prefer a fixed blade so I don’t have to worry about sand getting in any moving parts of the knife and the cleaning of the knife is much easier.
The quality of the Enyo and sheath are great, and the ergonomics are good. The blade is pretty small and the handle is short, so don’t expect a full grip handle. It is good for small cutting tasks but with long use you will get hot spots due to the handle design which is comfortable but not for long use. The only minus about this knife for me personally is the thickness of the blade (3/16”). The blade thickness of the Enyo is the same as the Difensa which is a bit overengineered in my opinion. As a backup blade I want something that is very sharp and able to support small and precise cutting tasks. It doesn’t need to baton through logs or pry open a door. A thinner blade would have allowed for a narrower edge which would have increased usability in my view. Again personal view so feel free to disagree.
Other than that quality is great.
Outstanding product from an outstanding company
I have been on the fence for a while about this purchase, I’m glad I finally made the choice to purchase. The quality it outstanding, the edge is perfect and the feel in my hand was exactly what I was looking for. I highly recommend this item if you in the market for a small fixed blade.
Spartan Blades Enyo - Inside Waistband (IWB) / Everyday Carry (EDC) Knife
Enyo (pronounced i-nye-oh) was the Greek goddess of war. She’s often referred to as the companion of Ares, the Greek war god. We chose the name Enyo for this everyday carry (EDC) companion knife, as it can be carried in a pocket, inside your waistband (IWB), or around your neck.
As a custom everyday carry fixed blade knife, the Enyo is designed with ergonomics and portability in mind. When it comes to everyday cutting tasks, the Enyo is always up to the challenge. Thanks to its fixed drop point design, the strength of the blade is carried forward into the tip. Whatever situation presents itself, the Enyo will be ready to go.
The Spartan Enyo features a form-fitted Kydex sheath, along with a stainless steel neck chain, IWB loop, and 2’ paracord for a variety of convenient everyday carry options. This handcrafted everyday carry knife also includes a lanyard with a plated pewter Spartan helmet beat.
