Amazing quality, fast service
Just received my dagger - fast delivery 3 days after ordering, even while I'm OCONUS. The quality of the materials and workmanship is evident the moment you hold this knife. Incredibly sharp right out of the box. The kydex sheath has just the right amount of retention. The only thing I would say as a potential improvement would be retaining loops on the sheath's MOLLE webbing straps so that it can be adjusted to fit smaller regular belts or smaller-than-spec MOLLE (on some MOLLE war belts, for example). Overall the design is incredibly well thought out and executed perfectly. Is this a better knife than I will ever really need? Absolutely. Will I ever regret buying it? Absolutely not.

Bad ass blade
Local knife shop owner showed me his Spartan knife (although he didn't carry it at his shop). He is a self professed metal nerd and was raving about this knife, which convinced me to purchase one. The knife is bad ass and came sharp but I spent a few minutes getting it razor sharp, as only wanted this for one purpose and not for daily use. I feel confident this knife could get me out of a sticky situation if ever needed.

Spartan/George V-14 dagger
First of all, I'm a collector, not a shadowy shanker, spy or commando. But I was willing to plop down the consideration for this beauty based on a massive volume and wide variety of positive online feedback. Due to the obvious high quality and excellent design of the dagger it would pretty much be picking nits to say that the one I got was in the wrong color (I favor the more traditional subdued black, but on the other hand I can always have it refinished. I know... heresy, right!?!) The Spartan/George V-14 is as close to absolutely symmetrical in cross-section as anything else I've collected. Therefore, if this is hand finishing as opposed to all CNC (the implication seeming weighted towards it being hand finishing) it is some of the very finest I've ever seen in a production item. Furthermore, it being comprised of S35VN and started in a billet of quarter-inch stock I fully suspect that this dagger is in practically no danger of losing it's tip short of severe out-and-out abuse. The only thing I'm not quite sure of with this design is the overlap of the scales with the crossguard. Anyway, great job guys! It's getting five stars regardless and I'm currently preparing the way toward ordering in a Spartan/Harsey dagger from your elite line to keep the V-14 company (I feel confident that it could possibly be in a black finish this time for some reason). There's no need to accessorize, of course, but it would be nice! Thanks again... excellent product!!

The Spartan-George V14 Dagger is Spartan Blades’ first collaboration with the gifted and prolific knifemaker Les George.
Beginning with the formation of the OSS (Office of Strategic Services) following the end of World War 2, daggers have come to symbolize the most elite of our military special operations units and intelligence agencies. With the Spartan-George V-14 Dagger, our goal was to create a custom combat knife that improved upon a classic profile with better materials and a more thoughtful design.
The V-14 features a full-tang design combined with a 0.25 inch precision ground thickness, making for a very reliable blade. Each of these handcrafted combat knives is first hollow ground with four symmetrical bevels, then vacuum heat treated, double deep cryogenically treated and double tempered. The end result is added edge retention and toughness, thus fixing the classic durability problem that has plagued military combat daggers in the past.
In addition to an extremely high quality blade, the Spartan-Georgie V-14 combat dagger features an ergonomic and textured handle specifically designed for maximum comfort and a confident grip. This is where we opted to diverge from tradition, choosing an oblong handle with flats on each side to assist in the indexing and use of the knife during times of limited visibility. Simply put, this is a true combat dagger!
