I just received my second Formido in black. This is a great edc blade. Light and flat but very substantial in the hand. I carry it in the Mercharness shoulder rig. The blade itself is fearsome and from what I've seen so far has serious cutting ability. You won't get a better self defense blade. Strong. Simple. Very effective.
I should have gotten one sooner. Feels very good in the hand and has excellent balance. This is a perfect edc blade. Very aggressive blade. Excellent grip. I'm using a tactical tether to carry it as a shoulder rig. Excellent self defense blade. I highly recommend this blade for anyone looking for a top rate defensive blade. You won't get anything better.
Exactly what I was looking for. A very flat easy to carry knife with a sharp blade and comfortable handle.
Great small knife that is easy to conceal and still can be deployed in a defensive situation. I carry it in my front pocket and keep it in a small nylon case holder. I prefer this to kydex for this small knife. Great knife well finished and another Spartan winner....
This is pretty much perfect for EDC. Small enough to carry easily and discretely, but tough enough to handle tough duty. Highly recommend.
I was looking at a knife for twice the price when I checked Spartan and saw this one. The CPM S45VN holds edge for a very long time. This is my new EDC, walk the dog, on my dresser knife at night knife.
I’ve been wanting a Spartan knife since seeing the videos of them at Blade Show in 2018. The Formido definitely doesn’t disappoint. It’s a perfect size for me to cary around all day. It’s a bit heavier than it looks, though I wouldn’t call it a heavy knife. I like the weight, it feels substantial in my hand. The finish is perfect and the machining on the handle is really nice. Also, the sheath is the best fitting kydex sheath I’ve ever used. I have several Tops knives, which have great kydex sheaths but this one is a whole new level. It fits the blade so perfectly, it’s just incredible. I also have to say I’m very happy with Spartan’s customer service. I emailed a question I had about sheath mounting hardware and I had a reply the same day that was super helpful. If you love high quality knives and love America, buy a Spartan. You’ll be thrilled that you did.
Very slim and trim knife. Very easy to carry and conceal. Mine came sharp and ready to run. I’ve carried it for 7months at least 3x a week.
This knife is truly in a class of its own, like their online blog says I could not agree more. I ordered the black Formido and I love the matte color, it’s sleek and looks fantastic it’s a beautiful knife. The steel used is superb, it’s super sharp out of the box, the fact that they use the S45VN steel goes to show Spartan Blades truly wants the best steel in their knives. The PVD coating makes this knife feel very good in the hands, it’s smooth and yet slip resistant in water, this knife grips well in the hands for not having handles. I love the ergonomics and most of all the triangles, in the handle give it that thumb traction as well as a very unique look. You do not have to wrap this knife in paracord, unless you like adding that to your knife, it’s not needed. I went with the ballistic nylon sheath, top quality. Spartan Blades goes the distance. Made in the US, this could not get any better!
Incredible knife. Extremely sharp and well made. Great balance and feels good in the hand. Can’t buy blades from anyone else now. I’m a Spartan convert.
