    Great knife

Posted by Mike on Mar 24th 2017

Very fast shipping. This is a great knife, perfect size for outdoor use. My only issue is the snap on the nylon sheath is very hard to re-snap one-handed while the knife is on your belt, very tight fit. Will definitely get the kydex sheath when back in stock. All quality work, and very sharp.

    PHRIKE - The Review

Posted by Unknown on Mar 3rd 2017

To me, details are everything! Whether it's character or craftsmanship, it's all in the details.
The first thing I did when I opened the box was check the contours for smoothness, look for burrs, find the balance point, and assess the cutting edge. It was all there.
Second, but not insignificant, is who I buy from; I would much rather give my money to American vets than purchase some cheap sh*t Chinese or Indonesian garbage. Get the real deal, buy a Spartan Blade!

    My favorite knife

Posted by Kris Carlson, Esq. on Feb 28th 2017

The Phrike is the best knife I have used. I whole-heartedly recommend it. I think it's the ideal knife for outdoorsmen. It's the perfect size for a field tool and light enough that you'll never notice the weight no matter how many miles you hike. The handle is comfortable with or without gloves. This is a really well-designed knife, and the flat dark earth blade with tan handle looks spectacular.

excellent quality/ comfortable to carry all day

Posted by Unknown on Sep 8th 2016

I purchased the black phrike with the tan handle scales and the iwb sheath. It arrived in no time and as soon as I pulled it out of the box I was instantly impressed with how it felt in my hand. I was a little concerned that it wouldn't be comfortable iwb but I have seen that it is not an issue carrying 1 o'clock in the appendix and really I barely notice it. I would have to say if I had any gripe at all it would be the sharpening from factory not saying that it wasn't sharp because it was. A knife like this deserves a good hone.... That being said I was able to get it to straight razor ( and I do mean RAZOR) sharpness in a few minutes.

Over all an excellent knife that I would recommend for an edc in a heartbeat

    Perfect EDC blade.

After carrying and training for a while on my knife skills, I leveled up from the Enyo to the Phrike for the longer blade and full size grip. I carry AIWB and it's extremely comfortable, light, and easy to conceal. I especially like how the Enyo, Phrike, and Pallas (my folder) have the scalloped ridge on the blade top to allow the user to choke up on the knife.

    Nimble Meets Rugged

Posted by Caleb on Jul 4th 2016

It's hard to appreciate the craftsmanship fully with a simple picture as your only metric, but that made for quite a surprise when I opened the box my Phrike came in. The first thing that struck me, oddly, was the quality of the Molle sheath it was riding in. It is Incredibly rugged and versatile, having both belt loop and Molle attachment capabilities. When I picked it up, I noticed perhaps the most impressive feature of the knife: it is INCREDIBLY light and nimble in the hand, almost deceptively so because its durability is also readily apparent. It's very difficult to find both in one package, but Spartan Blades has delivered just that in arguably its most practical blade. This knife is well suited for daily utility carry, bushcraft, or tactical applications. Well done Spartan Blades!

Spartan Phrike Self Defense / Utility Knife

According to ancient Greek mythology, Phrike was the goddess of horror and fear. In the ancient Greek language, the word “phrike” literally meant “tremor” or “shivering.” The Spartan Phrike custom self defense knife is certainly an imposing blade: despite its small size, the Phrike stands out as an effective, finely crafted, and perfectly honed tool for both self defense and utility use.

The Spartan Phrike’s small, lightweight blade was designed specifically to be easy to carry for self defense and bushcraft. The knife’s 4.25” blade and minimal inset handle make it comfortable, slim, and highly portable.

The Phrike is an excellent utility knife, and can be carried on a daily basis for managing common tasks. It’s also perfect for the outdoors, and can be taken along on hunting and backpacking trips. In addition to this, the Phrike makes for a phenomenal handcrafted self defense knife, and is ideal to carry for emergencies and unexpected situations.

Available with a nylon MOLLE sheath or Kydex sheath in multiple color options.

Note: the nylon MOLLE sheath option features a military style pull dot fastener (snap). This is perfect if you’re looking for maximum retention capabilities. However, the pull dot style fastener can create wear on the G10 handle inserts if you’re not especially careful with how you carry the knife. Therefore, we recommend placing the lanyard underneath the snap in order to cut down on wear to the Phrike’s handle.
