Bought Two trainers for combatives practice. Great quality and craftsmanship. Would recommend. I would have liked the weight to be a little bit heavier but other than that these are a fantastic product.
An excellently made trainer, I only knocked it one star because it's much lighter than the actual blade. Not a huge deal but if I'm being nitpicky it's my only comment. Either way it's extremely well made and is mandatory for the knife it emulates.

I purchased the Spartan CQB Tool from a 3rd party merchant since it was unavailable at the time I was looking. The Int'l blue CQB Trainer is an excellent training aid for incorporation into drills for safety, developing muscle memory, and to prevent unnecessary wear and tear/ damage to the live blade. The trainer is also exceptional as a standalone compliance tool (in it's harmless appearing shade of blue)! I am grateful to Spartan for producing American products of the highest quality and intend to be a longtime customer!
I'm active military. My wife bought me the CQB Tool for Easter (best wife ever) because I do a lot of Krav Maga and hand to hand training, including training with this type of weapon. Since it would be a bad idea to spar with the deadliest CQB tool ever made (best blades ever) , now I walk around with the trainer in my hand and spar with no fear of sending my comrades to the hospital. The fact that it fits the same sheath my CQB Tool came in, makes it easier to refine my fine motor skills and get the draw smoother. A little lighter than the actual CQB tool however, it is still a valuable training device!
I purchased the CQB Aluminum trainer primarily to have an addition to my training knives set. Upon having a feel of the knife at hand, I immediately realized that it could also be used as an EDC (Everyday Carry) self defense tool. Unlike knives, this tool/trainer has a retention ring, has no sharp edges and is very lightweight. Fit and finish is perfect. The jimping in the tool/trainer is functional. The tool, since it is color blue is non threatening. In the right hands of a trained individual, you can use this tool/trainer as a compliance/control device and an impact weapon (like a kubaton). I wish the trainer came with its own sheath. Overall, I highly recommend this product.
