Phrike
Anything that costs less than a Spartan blade is inferior. Any blade that costs more is unnecessary. The Phrike is an excellent self defense blade. I wear mine right around my neck. I have never found a blade that could equal a Spartan.

Perfect medium size knife! Flatter handle makes it easy to carry when running trails and around town concealed. Perfect sheath makes it quick to access. Very satisfied. Its a well made knife. Easy to carry so I will carry it. Large enough to do some damage if some critter goes after me on trail.

This knife fits surprisingly well in my big hands considering it’s thin G10 sales &profile. The profile of the blade with its thumb ramp & swedge give it a very ergonomic , user friendly & visually appealing blade! The fit & finish is beautiful & the

Quality
The Phrike is another excellet product from Spartan Blades. I'm continually amazed at the attention to detail, the quality steel is a true delight. I put my new Phrike to my Shapton Glass HC 6000 grit, and then my leather Strop with micro fine honing compound. The edge is so sharp it would make Hattori Hanzo of Kill Bill fame jealous. If I had to say one thing negative about the Phrike, its that the handle grip is a bit small. I have medium sized hands and normally have no problems with any grips. I went ahead and did a decent reverse wrap, tuck and fly tying knot with some cord and the fit is better for me now. I am very happy with every purchase I've made with Spartan Blades. I gladly recommend them to anyone who wants superior quality in knife construction.

Good set up
OK, so I was looking to replace my duty carry knife. My older knife was another custom made, it is a good knife just a little heavy and thick. I struggled for a couple days trying to decide between the enyo, the cqb tool, and the Phrike. In hindsight I probably should have contacted Spartan blades to get their opinion. Regardless I am quite happy with my decision. I was worried from looking at the pictures that the knife in its IWB kydex would not keep the handle high enough on my hip so as not to be covered by my gun belt. It is not a problem, the handle is easy to get to, and with just the one strap holding the sheath to my interior belt there is enough movement so as not to interfere with me getting in and out of my work truck. The knife is well made, lightweight and comfortable in the grip. The knife is thin, even with the scales on the handle yet sturdy. The thickness for me is perfect so that I don't have to adjust my gunbelt with an odd fit. I also ordered the nylon sheath as a separate item. Our vests are outer carrier vests so I just keep the molle nylon sheath attached to my vest at all times. I simply transfer the knife from my beltline to my vest as I need to. For me it is a good set up because the vest would interfere with me getting to my knife quickly.

Phrike knife
I am very pleased with this knife. For years I carried different large knives while I was in the military and now in law enforcement as a K-9 security team leader and sniper. I first bought my son one as a gift and was so impressed that I got me one. It is the right size for what I need to do with a knife.

P.S.
Just a ps. Mark and Curtis are two wonderful guys with tremendous integrity and commitment to their mission, which is to make the best custom knives on the market. While so many other custom knife makers are too busy to talk with a potential buyer, these two guys will go out of their way to help you find the best blade for YOUR mission. This is why I keep coming back to Spartan again and again.

Ultimate in Artistry
The Phrike is in my opinion the best concealed carry fixed blade made for defense/utility I have ever owned. The ergonomics are flawless. The grip has no match that I am aware of, and it's flatness make it the ultimate in it's class. Don't tolerate mediocrity. Invest your money in a sure thing that you will hand down to your grandchildren. Buy this knife!!
