Imitation
I see that Emerson just came out with a CQB-7 (I believe that's correct)Tanto/karambit design. While I'm sure it's a very fine blade, Tu Lam and Spartan thought it up first. Imitation IS the sincerest form of flattery.

Another ps.
I liked this blade so much I bought another one a week later. It is one of the most well thought out knives I have ever owned. I don't use any other blades but Spartan and have been a loyal Spartan customer for 10 years. I know I said this before, but anything cheaper than a Spartan blade is inferior and anything more expensive is unnecessary. If you stay with the Spartan line of knives, you will never go wrong.

Lethal Beauty
First, this is the most substantial folder I think I've ever held. Beefy is a good way to describe it. The knife itself is all business and for the untutored like me there will be a learning curve in mastering the draw technique. I would suggest an online training segment but with practice it will eventually be fine. If you're looking for concealment in a defensive blade then this one is a very strong choice. It is a very high quality blade from form to function. And you can't beat the. Price.

So awesome
I absolutely love this knife. The way it opens straight from your pocket is the coolest thing ever. This will be my carry all the time and I’m not sure I’ll ever look for anything different. Awesome work Spartan!

Shoto folding Karambit
Good hand feel, solid design, like the quick opening feature.

Awesome Blade
The Shoto is exactly what I've been looking for in a folding karambit style blade. Solid build, flawless deployment of the blade with the Emerson Wave, and it's shaving sharp out of the box.
The Spartan-Ronin Shōtō is a folding karambit liner lock folder. This blade is the result of a collaborative effort between Spartan Blades and TU Lam of Ronin Tactics, our former Special Forces Teammate and good friend.
Having worked throughout Asia and in Indonesia, both Tu Lam and Spartan have a very healthy respect for the Karambit style. This blade was designed to be incorporated into several forms of martial arts systems.
It features a CTS-XHP tanto blade, "Emerson Wave" feature for ease of opening, and a reversible pocket clip for left hand carry with black and red G10 scales provide for a sure grip. Please check out this link to Ronin Tactics HERE.
All our Bronze (Field) Grade folders incorporate our new “Oil Infused Bronze Bushing System” or “OIBBS”! Our sintered bronze bushings are impregnated with oil which reduces the friction on the blade, thus giving you a tight but smooth blade opening. This system is especially useful for slow speeds, intermittent use, and uneven loads such as are found on folding knives.
