It’s a good knife
More than I was expecting, sits and moves well in the hands, nimble and fast, like a pen it goes where directed. Very nice blade.
Subject speaks for itself! Hands down the best knife I have purchased. Thank you Spartan and Ronin Tactics for making this gem!
When I received the knife it was dull. Contacted Spartan and they said to return the knife. Sharp as a razor when shipped back. Outstanding customer service. They stand behind their products. Hard to find a company today with this type of customer service.
Absolutely impeccable craftsmanship, I can't stop staring at it! Such wonderful people to deal with, very professional and prompt service
Excellent quality and design. I have searched quite a while for a fixed blade of this level this knife exceeded my expectations. Way to go Spartan Blades and Tu Lam!
I'm a professional level photographer, and though the catalog photos of this blade are of excellent quality; photographs simply don't provide adequate justice to the craftsmanship that exists with this Shinto blade.
This is my second blade from Spartan, and certainly not my last. They take pride in what they do and it's evident the moment you open the box.
Blade geometry and balance are excellent. Handle is comfortable and durable. A true fighting knife.
My only criticism would be that I'd like to see Spartan incorporate the adjustable locking screw in their Kydex sheaths that is found in Esse sheaths. I've grown to really love my Esse 5, but it's clearly no match for a Spartan Blade. However, I do believe Esse's versatility and design work with their sheaths and sheath accessories is a great accent to the overall function and performance of their knives.
The Kydex Spartan sheath is a straight forward design and firmly holds the blade so snug it sometimes delays rapid removal. I'll be curious to see if this performance changes with time and repeated use. I'm also very interested in getting their nylon sheath option which seems like a good investment for this application.
Blade edge is also excellent, sharp and reliable. Quality work all around!!!
My top brand for blades used to be Benchmade, but after receiving this blade, I will be making all my future purchases from Spartan blades. Extremely well made and looks even better in person. Attached it to my kit, haven't gotten a chance to use it rigorously yet, but just by the feel of it I'm confident it will hold up with any other blade I own. Extremely happy with my purchase.
Beautifully made very impressed with the quality, would highly recommend.
