When I ordered this knife I expected it to be a slight variation off of the George V-14 Dagger. While similar, it is not the same. The George V-14, Harsey Dagger, and the George Raider have a wider blade than the Ronin dagger. It is thick in the spine and drips into seriously sharp blades on both sides. The narrower blade makes for a more needle like tip. Although it is a narrower blade it still has a little weight to it. Plus, with a Magnacut steel blade, the balance between toughness and edge retention with its rust resistance is a huge plus. All in all, I see this dagger as a fast punching dagger. The smaller profile makes it easier to handle in cutting and stabbing motions making it a faster blade. Just as Ernie Mayer used to say in knife fighting, "speed is life." I highly recommend this knife. I plan on carrying it as a boot knife when I'm out camping in the woods. This Tu Lam collaboration is a great addition.
I just got this today. My first impression is that it is thinner than I expected. From the pictures I thought it would be comparable to the Harsey Dagger. While both are daggers, the F/S has a thinner feel to the handle and blade. It makes this knife faster. The blade is excellent Magnacut steel, the double edge blade is super sharp, the grip is easy. Love this knife. I look forward to training with it.

It took a while for me to pull the trigger on this purchase because of the price, now that I have the dagger in my hand I can say that it was well worth it. I normally collect knives but this dagger really caught my eye and I had to have it. Not only is this thing beautiful but it seems very well made. Well done Spartan Blades!!
