One of the nicest fixed blades I own, I love the design, balance, and weight, another winner from Harsey (and Spartan). Feels like I can pry a door open with the full tang. It's the one blade I keep by the bedside.
Always a pleasure to have a close "friend" you can trust! This knife stayed at my side through my deployments to Iraq, and Afghanistan. Until...some douche stole it from me... You never quite get over losing a "friend!" Great build, and craftsmanship...my goto purchase when I want to maje a lifetime investment.

I have to admit that I was surprised at the design of the Difensa. The grip is excellent, the blade steel is very high quality, and the thick design makes it incredibly tough. I highly recommend this knife for your combat training.
I have many knives, but this one is in a class by itself. The Difensa is a great sturdy blade made in Magnacut steel for a great balance of edge retention and toughness you won't find in other blade steels. The grip designs are near perfect. Spartan Blades has earned my respect as a knife fighter and collector.
This is one of the best knives I have ever bought. I just recently discovered the Spartan Blades line. I have many knives from many different makers. The Difensa grip is outstanding. It fits perfectly in my hand, the weight is great, the blade length is within the perfect range for a combat knife, and the Magnacut steel is, as of right now, the best balanced steel for toughness, blade retention, and corrosion resistance. Spartan Blades has made me a loyal customer with their elite line of knives. I look forward to buying all of these knives and training with them in the future.

Company: packed knife appropriately for shipping then shipped knife promptly. Knife: No QC issues. It would be good if spacers were available for a thicker grip. The grip is slightly narrow for my average size hands but that's just me being persnickety. The knife easily takes top spot in my collection.
