Happy with purchase
I have the Defensa,Horkos, and Ares. Best fixed blades on earth as far as I'm concerned.
The hype about these knives is not overdone, I was not surprised to find an excellent tool to add to my outdoor gear...in these troubled times I’ve been stashing away quality items into my bug out bag, this knife will never be far from my hand...
Thank you for the hand written note.
Don’t wanna let go of this knife! I’ve already ran it thru it’s paces and it just keeps impressing me more each day.
All I can say is it is a true work of art. Fits in your hand like a glove with the quality one expects from Spartan.
Just awesome will serve me well for year's to come, and pass down to grandson .
When I was a child I used to think I could do anything with my military issue utility knife with USA on the side.
When I became a man I put away my childish things. I really can do anything with my SPARTAN HARSEY DIFENSA from the kitchen to the field. That includes zombies if need be
The knife is very well built, good balance, five stars on the build of it.
The design I have some problems with, the handle is to short in my hand, it's. Seems to be made for a smaller handed person. If the handle was a bit longer. It would definitely be all five stars
This being my first spartan knife I didn’t know what to expect. Out of the box the quality, tolerances, and craftsmanship is spot on. This is a great field utility knife that would be good for combat or outdoors activities. I really like that the blade steel is in s45vn. If you’re on the fence about this knife just pull the trigger, you won’t be disappointed.
Spartan Harsey Difensa
In 1943, a battle was fought between the U.S. / Canadian First Special Service Force and German troops in Italy. Known as the Battle for Monte la Difensa, the courageous performance of U.S. and Canadian forces here was essential to the eventual Allied victory in Italy.
When the Canadian special forces commissioned Spartan Blades and master knifemaker William Harsey to produce a blade for them, we knew we wanted to create something special. Our goal was to craft a knife that would serve their special forces well in the years to come -- both in the northern woods of their homeland and on worldwide deployments alike. The result was the Spartan Harsey Difensa, named after the infamous and hard-fought victory achieved by cooperation between Canadian and U.S. forces.
The name speaks to this custom tactical knife’s excellent all-around field and battlefield use. The spear point profile of this handcrafted knife is flat ground, with a tapered top edge that makes for excellent tip strength, penetration balance, and sheer cutting ability.
The full tang and handle of the Spartan Harsey Difensa allow for a neutral balance in the user’s hand. Combined with the textured, ergonomic canvas Micarta handle -- modified from our Model II with no rear jimping -- this custom combat knife offers the wielder a comfortable, confident grip whether wet or dry.
