This was a Day 1 purchase. The Ronin Shōtō is a purpose built tool with a mind for practicality. The order was filled quickly and delivered ahead of schedule. This has replaced my every day carry. Its utility, size, and weight make it an excellent piece of kit. The Emerson wave design give a positive grip. The blade length and construction are practical.
Feels great in the hand flows well with the drills. I would give this 5 stars but if I am to be 100% honest I had 2 small quibbles with it. Firstly the pocket clip cover with the lotus only fit on one side and I had to rework the G10 to get it to fit flush and the second is mine was so super stiff to close it required 2 hands and a disassembly reassembly to get it working though I am quite sure over time it will work in. The wave feature works flawlessly and the edge profile was right on the money! The texturing on the G10 was perfect as well aggressive enough to hold fast yet not so rough as to blister the hands after some intense drills. The ring was smooth and large enough for my fingers to really go to work with it. I tried all the features and suggestions Tu had in the video release from batoning the arm drill with it closed to the forward punch drill and found it to be great for all of them. Aside the 2 minor minor issues I had, which I am quite sure are an early run issue, this Shoto is a beast and a great piece of kit to add for anyone who is serious about self protection and defence in CQB applications. Highly recommend it for sure.
I purchased this as a EDC knife. I already have a Spartan / Ronin fixed blade, and I knew the quality would be superb (it is). It is a little hefty for EDC, but it will be my go to carry when on duty. I am retired from Gov't work, but still do security duties and consulting, and I have a different set up when pulling duty. The knife is well balanced, easy to use (wave deployment is exceptionally smooth and easy). The knife appears to be indestructible. I have not torture tested it, but frankly I don't need to. This is a tough and utilitarian tool. This is one on which I would trust my life. Well done Brothers. (As Usual)

First karambit knife I have ever purchased. And I’m very impressed at the quality of the knife and it’s ease to open from pocket. Blade came in very sharp, and feels really good. Absolutely perfect. I wouldn’t change a thing. The ergonomics are outstanding, the Wave feature deploys the blade lightning quick, and it’s utterly gorgeous looking. For the price this knife goes for - it’s unbeatable.

The design of this Karambit is unreal. Majority of Karambits have a curve blade lending it to slashing movements. This straight blade style like the Ronin Sakura opens the door to more movements piercing and slashing. Next the deployability with the Emerson Wave makes this knife so quick to work with. The element of surprise really is there with this blade.
