This is an absolutely outstanding folding knife. Extremely pleased with it if I lost it I would buy another one it really is that good. Thanks guys for another wonderful knife !
Excellent blade. LOVE the finish on it, came ultra sharp and the emerson deploy works great. fit and finish is almost perfect. Only issue i had was when switching the clip the milled out section needed slight notching to get the blank plate to fit on the reverse side. Other then that, great blade as usual from Spartan and Tu.
This knife just like the rest of the blades that the Spartan blades guys put out is great ! Fits good in the had easy to control and has an awesome edge.
I own several “ring” type karambits from most major brands. This is my first Spartan Blade, and the Shoto is at the top of my list for a folder based karambit. Very smooth to deploy, the grip (while a little thick) is just the right size, the ring has just enough room to allow for different types of blade manipulations, and the Tanto blade shape is perfect! I really enjoy all the small details that add/enhance to the overall design. This has opened my eyes for additional purchases from Spartan Blades. Thank you! SS
The overall design of this knife is great! Quality steel, ergonomic in my hand, and smooth opening and locking of the blade! Only thing is the weight is more than most of my daily carry knives.
Spartan and Ronin did it this time... I was immediately attracted to this knife because it was different than other folding karambits. The tanto shape gives excellent strength and piercing capabilities. The handle and ring provide a solid secure grip. When closed, the knife could be used as a impact device because the handle sticks out near the pivot (Watch out for the wave). Speaking of the wave... it works flawlessly no matter how you choose to deploy the blade. Construction wise this guy is substantial, and a bit robust but still pocketable. All in all extremely satisfied with my purchase, especially at the price point you can't go wrong. Did I mention the steel is CTS-XHP, enough said.

Superb quality. Only note would be a trainer of equally size to practice manipulation. Hopefully the Sakura trainer comes back soon.
Love this knife! My new EDC without a doubt. The finger ring on the back is superb. It allows for extremely rapid deployment of the blade when pulling it out of your pocket. It’s a one handed draw that release the blade safely and securely. It can also act as a blunt force object to protect your hand. The sharpness of the blade out of the box is top notch. I would highly recommend this if you want a a knife that can double as a EDC close quarters weapon and also as a utility knife for the basic opening of packages and whatnot. Definitely my favorite blade I’ve purchased to date.
